_Aardman - Elf's Journey (Myer)

What a lovely project! I had one of the best experiences of my life in this beautiful and beloved studio. It was 3D animation emulating stop motion style for a commercial campaign for Myer, a shopping mall in Australia. These characters were hidden in the shopping and shoppers needed to discover them walking around. A glamorous deer, a drunk angel and the cutest mouse ever.

Animation was supervised by the talented Mathew Rees -check out his amazing christmas short film Remote here-. And the whole project was directed by Peter Peake, who animated Shaun in his first appearance in a Wallace and Gromitt short film, that one where that evil Penguin also shined. It was a huge pleasure to work with both of them, incredible artists and better colleagues.
